Jeffers Park Downtown Saginaw

The dreary spring weather takes hold of Saginaw in April, but I am always hopeful there will be sunny days ahead.

Jesse Hoyt's Gift

Many people and photographers tell me I have a gift for photography, but the truth is, most everything I learned about photography was at the Saginaw Public Libraries. Hoyt Library is still my favorite place to go, and just think, it was a gift to Saginaw by Jesse Hoyt. Can you imagine if someone gave Saginaw a gift of a building like Hoyt Library today? Companies don’t even build new building like it today for themselves, it is expensive and unnecessary to build such an ornate building, let alone give one to a community. Thank you to the Library and Jesse Hoyt for all you have done for me.

4th of July - Saginaw MI

If it's gonna be snowing in the middle of March then I'm gonna post some photos to warm me up. Nothing warms you up like 4th of July fireworks from Ojibway island on a hot summers night.

Randal Wickes Park Winterwonderland - Saginaw Mi

looks like old man winter does not want to leave, it's the middle of March and we are still getting that arctic weather and snow. The entrance to Randal Wickes Park looks beautiful but I am ready for warm weather and green grass to walk around the park.

The Hill House

Why is it that some houses in Saginaw have been so well maintained and preserved and others like the Hill House have been treated so poorly. It looks like a person that has been bruised and beaten and lived a hard life, just waiting for someone to care.

The Old Railroad Bridge - Saginaw Mi

This is the railroad bridge that crosses the Saginaw River just north of interstate 675. The control house to raise and lower the bridge was torn down recently. I wonder when the last time the bridge was raised. it has to be over 40 years ago.
